I am not a graveyard shift mall cop, but I also have serious problems with the evolutionary theory. I believe we were created by an all-powerful being in 7 days. That will not change.
BTW, since we're judging the value of peoples' belief systems based on their occupation, what do you do for a living?

The Bible was written by man. Man during the time it was written had no understanding of even basic scientific theories, so of course anything about evolution would be beyond them. Just because it's not in the Bible doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I believe God created us but may very well have used an evolutionary process to do so.

This is a very ignorant statement. Evolutionary theory is clearly science. Creationism is based on faith and is not scientific in any way.

A simple description of terms
Ok let me try and clarify this:
example
Some one makes a hypothesis. An Idea that X will happen if Y or something like that. Researcher tests his hypothesis many times covering any circumstances that may prove him wrong. In the end the threory passes all of its tests and the educated science community accepts your theory is pretty much right.
some guy comes up with the brilliant idea of gravity. He tests his ideas on gravity by dropping stuff. Stuff keeps falling and his ideas on gravity are strengthened.
We can go even deeper than this and go as far as saying science is never fact. Gravity isnt garaunteed. There were a few philosophers we went over in a philosophy of Science class at my university. I might have the wrong guy, but I think Thomas Kuhn made the point that science is never proven fact. Science cant gaurantee gravity will work when I drop something everytime. We are just really sure it will fall because it always has in the past. The main idea is we can only disprove things and the rest is just some level of certainty. We can go deeper, but my main point is we cant test evolution or creation. All we can do is take educated guesses about how things happened. In the end you have faith in something. Evolution leads you to believe in faith that something was there to start the big bang, and creation leads you to have faith in the idea that God was always there.
My problem is that both of these are accepted as theories, when I believe they should remian a hypothesis. I dont think creation should be included as science, and I dont think evolution should be taught as absolute fact. We weren't there. We can only make educated guesses about what might have happened. Scientists should really be saying "F*%& it, we dont know, we werent there but what we see in the world today leads us to believe it might have happened like this."

And thats just covering the main religions.
We could dive deeper to witches, pagans, pantheists, scientologists, satanists, etc.
Everyone with a different look at religion and following a differet story and having a different god.

I'm just guessing here, but you are probably catholic. So I guess the rest of the religions are wrong because you have a book (written by man) that says so.
And not only is that book written by man, its translated by man, from another book written by a man.
And its passed through a few different languages, some of which that are not directly translatable.

Creationism = philosophy/theology
Teach one in science class, teach the other in philospohy class. Better yet, teach it in church.
