not really. They're just plain ol' svt's with a good tranny and the added weight of a full rollcage on them. Suspension too I suppose. Nothing special though.

Those things were rode hard and put away wet. The instructors HATED them...especially the newer instructors who were stuck with them as the veterans got to drive the limited number of Cobra-powered Crown Vics. The mechanics hated them too, because they were ALWAYS fixing them, and surprisingly enough it wasn't the trannies that were the biggest problems, it was the engines themselves. Something about oil starvation in corners

Sure, they drove all of them hard...but from my experience they intentionally tried to kill the contours.
Last I heard they wanted over $20k for the Vics. For $13k I'd be ALL OVER one...except they're not licensable for the street, and I can't afford a track-only toy. I wanted one so bad I could taste it.
