Anyone know if the same MSDS headers from the contour V6 will fit the new shape MK3 mondeo in europe.? The spec for the earlier mondeos was the same as the Contour, but the MK3 mondeo was not made as a contour in the USA.

Y-Pipe and main cat are the same, Cat back is totally different. I just have no old headers to compare!

New Mondeo has duratec V6 like old mondeo. Heads have some small differences.

The y-pipe is the same as a Contour?

OK - if that is true, then the headers SHOULD work - but I assumed that the new Mondeo (looks like a big Focus) has a TOTALLY different subframe to the Contour/Mondeo cousins, and thus would have a totally different y-pipe.

Engine block is the same, some small head differences (smaller chain teeth) but same cam profile, UIM and LIM are the same. The engine is more refined due to dual mass flywheel and more exhaust boxes and longer route. Exhaust goes over to one side as if to exit but then comes across the back and exits on the other side. Quoted power is the same.

I've put old shape mondeo heads (I'd had then reworked on a previous car) and SVT intake and throttle body on mine so far, SVT cams next, headers would be nice at the same time, hence the question.
