need help, I bought 2 countour svts, 1998.5 bad motor good body, 2000 good motor bad body, swapped the motor into the 1998.5 and it wont crank, I drove the 2000 into the garage, so I knew it ran, new battery, all lights work, sounds like the fuel pumps work, no clutch pedal pressure, but is engaging the switch, the roll over sensor is down, out of ideas, let me know if you have any, thanks

Welcome. I read in a previous post/thread that sometimes a new battery needs to be charged to be effective. And of course the obvious, make sure the clamps are tightened on the terminals and not missing any wires to the clamps. You have another Contour to compare.

Edit. Based on a previous post from ProjectSHO89, check the clutch inhibit and neutral position switches.

"PNP switch. It is located on the top of the tranny, roughly straight down from the intake tube.

clutch inhibit switch that is mounted on the clutch pedal support under the dash."
