August 17, 2005

Dear SVTOA member,

The SVTOA Western Region takes over Buttonwillow Raceway for another weekend packed with SVTOA fun with the 2nd Annual Western Region 'Howling at Buttonwillow' On Track event! The event will be held in Buttonwillow, CA, November 4 ΓΆβ?¬β?? 6, 2005.

The weekend starts off for experienced SVTOA drivers on Friday with an open Test and Tune day hosted by Buttonwillow Raceway. Members will begin arriving Friday afternoon to find early registration and tech at the Willow Inn Suites, followed by a driving performance seminar by Dr. Jacques Dallaire. The SVTOA Western Region is also pleased to host the 'Howling' Meet -n-Greet at the Willow Ranch BBQ Restaurant where you're sure to hear high-octane stories from the day's participants.

Saturday and Sunday drivers will be sure to gain new appreciation for their SVT vehicles and put their new skills to use as they test their abilities on the three-mile course designed with a combination of turns, straights, and elevation changes, all with plenty of run-off room making it a fantastic course for beginners as well as a challenge for the seasoned driver. Planned activities include lots of track time, vendor displays, raffles and driving exercises for beginners. A team-based agility course competition will offer participants a chance to show off what they've learned about car control.

An official event dinner on Saturday night will offer participants time to download their supercharged stories of the day as well as the opportunity to win raffle prizes from our sponsors.

For more information, visit www.svtoa.com to download the registration form or event flyer, or call SVTOA at 866-377-8862 to learn more about this and other great events. Vicky Griffin, SVTOA Western Regional Director, is available to answer your questions, email her at westernregion@svtoa.com or call 661-424-0878.

will be adding:
spec clutch
spec flywheel
quaife
weapon R
Trubendz exhaust
B&M (hopefully)
Rear sway bar (hopefully)

vroom vroom!

Ary, if you cant bring your tour, bring that Lotus!!

I was just talking to my buddy tonight about it and he was saying that his friend, the mustang builder, took this 600hp badboy to Willow Springs and was pissing the Porsche and Ferrari guys off when they couldnt keep up with him. He said the ONLY car that was beating him was a MINI COOPER S!! with major mods. he said there was just no way he could catch that little thing. Im sure that Lotus would tear some sh*t up out there.

steve, i was going to say that i COULD bring the lotus if my car is not ready, i just didnt know if that would be kosher at a SVTOA trackday. personally i would like to try my car on a track just to see what it is like.

but yeah not too many cars will keep up with a 600hp stang regardless of pedigree. not that i wouldnt mind trying to keep up in a wimpy little 189hp four-pot

i will try to get the stupid struts in (STILLLLL waitting for them to come in!) and i will try to get the time off to attend; sounds like to me i wont be able to attend many more this year and i would like to make this one if at all possible!

cant wait to see your 3L!
