OP ToTalXS CEG\'er T Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 75	okies....i know people do alot of uptalking in here about there abilities but this is not one of those posts....i have drag raced a few time with my old focus zx3 but that was an atx...so this trip to the track was gonna be different since i now have a 2000 Contour svt....so here goes nothing...the car is all stock well...i later found out i have a K&N drop in filter....which btw was very very dirty when i ran the track...it seems that traction is a huge deal here...i tried several different ways to launch the car...always spun the tires sometimes more than other times...it seems that 1700 launch held the best 60 ft times for me...i was told by several other racers that this track is not that great for traction so its not a big surprise to fight it with regular street tires at normal air pressure...my best time i could muster was a 10.22 @ 68.59mph with a 60ft of 2.356 ...i couldnt ever get to 70 in the trap but i came slose once @ 69.12...oh the air temp was 95 degrees with 50% humidity....i know thats a factor as well...i was shifting the car around the redline...i think thats 6700....oh and the trunk is completely(seriously) lined with dybamat..the original owner put it in there....im tearing that stuff out asap.i also had the spare tire and jack in the car as well.....peace ps...im number 113...the other car is a 1989 ford taurus sho..yeah i lost the round but its ok.... 2000 Contour SVT #1567
