I posted this question in the problems section but it may have been the wrong place.

What do you recommend for changing cooling system hoses?

1. Check hoses at certain intervals and change if the look bad.

2. Change all hoses at specific mileage intervals even though the hoses look OK.

But make sure you give them a thorough inspection. I had a car with over 180k miles with the the original hoses.
