How many have this done and some pics of the bay if possible for our contour zetec ...

So far 2. I will be #3.
There was a guy a few months back that did a Zetec turbo, but didn't have proper tuning and blew it up. 96mercury is still working on his. I am working on mine but have run out of cash.
Seawulf is the grandaddy of Turbo Zetecs. He has a turbo setup on his Mercury Cougar.
I've got a couple of pics of the first Turbo Contour guy's setup stashed somewhere. I'll see if I can dig them up for you.
BTW, a kit for a Zetec Focus will bolt up to the block but it pretty much ends there. The intercooler and plumbing won't fit/work and the engine management isn't compatible with our PCMs. It's pretty much a DIY job to put a turbo on a Zetec contour.
This is as far as I am right now...

You'll need to double up on those zip ties or the heat will melt singles and the turbo will drop off. I've spent around $5 grand since I started but it's been over a period of five years. I did a initial low boost kit pushing 5psi, using all junk yard parts and got 40hp and 50tq more for $800. All the work was done free by my dad, except for around $150 for welding and finishing the exhaust manifold. This is the site with my pics for my setups. http://www.axs4u.net/home/louiem/

My dad's an high school auto shop teacher and he did the work, but he actually pawned off most of the grunt work onto his students and she was one of them. I've actually never met her and don't even know her name.

BTW, did you have any problems with having the bypass valve's output only inches from the MAF?

If my engine had that much room and was that easy to turbo I'd have done it back in 1999! How come there are almost no zetec turbos when you guys even have manifolds available?
