I'm doing the fluid replacement the pedal-pumping way. How much am I going to need to buy? The cheapest I can find the ATE stuff is $8.95/litre and you're not supposed to store brake fluid so I don't want to buy too much.

It will take about a liter (slightly less) to completely flush the entire system.

I use an entire large bottle. Could have even used more. If you're doing the clutch too a big bottle and little bottle should do the trick.

How did you use that much? I had clean blue fluid in no time. The system does't hold THAT much fluid. I did the clutch too, and I only used half.

It sort of depends on how dirty the system is. If you havn't flushed it in a long time, it will take more.
The first time I flushed mine, it took just over a quart, maybe a quart and a quarter. Since then it usually takes about 3/4 of a quart.
