After talking with steve at the pre run, he made a comment about how he was with a group that RENTED the track for the day. I am looking into the particulars, price, requirments etc.

http://www.willowspringsraceway.com/home/home.asp has information abotu how much it costs, but theres a lot of crap in there about insurance waivers and stuff which I think are for movie studios and crap.

However, there is a company that holds events there that give some racing instruction as well. They will set up private sessions for groups. I am inquiring about this as well as with willow springs directly.

I am curious to get some idea of how many people would realistically do this and how much youd be willing to spend to have the track to ourselves.

so list your name, and how much youd like to spend. At this point I am not restricting it to CEG memebers or even contours. Figure the more people we get the cheaper the price per person could be. Willowsprings seems more open to this so it will probably be there. Dont worry its only a 2 hour drive or so depending on where you live

I would like to do it, depending on price. the last time I was there, it was $75 for the day and I think each group got about 4/30minute runs in.

I might be up for this, as Willow Springs is not too far from my house. Although if I remember correctly; for private track meets all you can get is a weekday, which would most likely knock a few people out of doing this. I would also suggest trying to get a day in the fall or winter as the summer is just way to hot. Todays high at my house is forecast to be about 112 degrees.

if we can get on the road circit (streets of willowsprings i think?)75 bills is a bargain...

and yeah you need a transmitter for TT's (only picture i have the last time i was at fontana that shows a transmitter), if i bring the elise i really dont want to race just do TT's (time trials). but if i bring my svt i would maybe do a short race and TT's the rest of the day; dont want to damage daily driver...

these are the guys im looking at going through

http://racerfactory.com/store/home.php?cat=23

right now its 150 for a 1 day event at Streets of willow and that is just for whoever signs up.

In their FAQ they do say that with 10-12 weeks notice they can set stuff up. I have sent an email and am waiting response.

This gives some teaching as well, which I woudl definately like to expereince since I have never ran on a track before.
