I am trying to install my MSD 6al to help out with a few minor turbo troubles but I am having trouble because I'm not sure on the coil which wire is the positive coil and the negative because there are quite a few and none are just red or black so any help on this setup would be greatly appreciated.

For starters. Why??? The stock DIS can handle a lot more HP then you have and more rpm then the engine can spin.

Secondly. Good luck getting it to work. You'll need the correct lot tach adapters for starters. Also I don't know if the 6AL even works on a hybrid OBD-I EEC-V but I know it doesn't on OBD-II.

Additionally, there are only four wires coming from the ECU that are responsible for providing spark to 6 cylinders. This is because there are only THREE coils inside the coil pack.

It would be a damn shame if you don't get all your money back for that thing.

Yeah I found out more about it shortly after that post, the reason i need is because i need to retard my timing because I am having slight detonation in the higher rpm's and obviously thats no good and I dont know if I can get rid of it some other way such as adjusting the cam position sensor or something???

You do know that any "add on" device like that MSD only makes changes AFTER the fact right. It works nothing like the PCM does. For that matter the 6AL DOES NOT retard timing like you want it to do.
MSD has a digital box that can retard based on boost signal but that's still a hack way of tuning. Also the PCM will continue to make changes to the timing curve and the "box" has to be reset & reset & reset. Just get a tuned chip and be done with it already.
