Well after fooling around with the car for a while i decided its time to dyno the mystique. Im going by a bit later this afternoon to see what i can put down and maybe see if the guy there can optimize my y pipe for me. What do you guys think ill be able to put down to the rollers? I think he said its the new mustang dyno or something like that. But the car is a 1997 mercury mystique, AEM cold air intake, gutted precats, dual 2.5" exhaust with resonator and magnaflow straight through mufflers, fms plug wires, and i just cleaned out the upper and lower intake. Its also an auto. Ill post the numbers when i get back home.

ATX or MTX....that makes a big difference.

Then I would expect to see about 140 WHP.

Weve got a winner. I was hoping id see alot more but i managed 135.65 hp and 142 ft lbs. On a side note my car is running really rich so im looking into having the guy who runs the dyno do a custom chip for me. He said he can probably squeeze out another 20hp by going to an all custom chip. So ill probably be spending a while on the dyno soon getting it worked out.

I like his optimism but my guess after the chip is 144hp.

the guy who is doing it really knows his stuff doing efi on mustangs and camaro's so im hoping its not just blind optimism. Id be happy if he can get me up to 150hp. Should i also see about dropping in a cooler thermostat before i take it back in for this?

With your mods on a Mustang dyno I am thinking you won't get up to 150hp.
