Hey guys my CEL is on and is throwing the following codes:
P0153 and P1151
I know its for the O2 Sensors, but I already had them replaced, so let me know if you have any suggestions..
Thanks!
I have a 98 Svt with 81k miles.

P-1151 is for accelerator position sensor (ems) circuit
If you replaced the correct oxygen sensor and its failing still you might have oil leaking on to it and clogging it up. Do you blow gray smoke?
Take out the sensor and inspect it, It should be very clean if you just R&R it.
P-0153 i believe is sensor 1 bank 2 slow response, which is radiator side.

Both codes point to the upstream sensor on the radiator side.
I'd suspect that sensor is bad regardless of any replacement work you believe was done.

thanks for the input guys. I just got off the phone with the mechanic and apparently he only replaced 2 of the 4. Has anyone ever replaced this particular one before?? Was it difficult?
Thanks again

the upstream radiator sensor is THE easiest to change.. You can EASILY do it yourself.
DON'T pay to have this one done.
EDIT:
Location of radiator O2 sensor, for posterity: C168

Duratec Maintenance, Duratec Maintenance FAQ.
O2sensors.com, I believe it is.
Get familiar with the "stickies" pinned at the top of each forum, they contain all the relevant, popular questions"(and answers) that you may have...
Transaxle stickies have all the transaxle questions, etc.

Not bringing up old posts, but I got the same code today while driving home from work. Is it for sure an o2 sensor? and how expensive to they run. (the code I got was the P1151). But the guy at autozone said the description was air and fuel mixture wasn't accurate or something like that.Actually I remember it saying insuffiecent air and fuel mixture or something to that effect. I have to remember next time to write that down! But I know for sure the codewas P1151. Any help is greatly appreciated. OH and I would like to know how to clear the codes. Not that I am not going to fix the problem, I just don't want to look at that stupid light. Thanks.

Most likely bad Bank 2 upper O2 sensor. About $70.
Change this. Bank 2 (radiator side) upstream O2 sensor. You need a 22 mm or 7/8 inch or O2 sensor socket.
Bank 2 Upper O2 sensor;
On this 2-D picture, ignore the red box and arrow, the Bank 2 Upper is the sensor on the left of the pre-cat. The arrow is pointing to the Bank 2 pre-cat Originally posted by chongo:
Edit. Per TSB, it could be any of these reasons but for a 10 year old car, it is very likely to be a bad O2 sensor.
The HEGO Sensor is monitored for switching. The code will set when the HO2S fails to switch due to circuit or fuel at or exceeding a calibrated limit.
Electrical:
· Short to VPWR or VREF in harness or HO2S
· HO2S circuit shorted to Ground
· Water in harness connector
· Open circuit
· Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring
· Damaged HO2S
· Damaged PCM (other DTCs should be present)
Fuel System:
· Excessive fuel pressure (stuck fuel pressure regulator, restricted fuel return lines, etc.)
· Leaking/contaminated fuel injectors or fuel pressure regulator
· Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel (fuel pump concern, fuel supply line restrictions, low fuel level, etc.)
· Vapor recovery system (stuck VMV, etc.)
Induction System:
· MAF contamination
· Air leaks between MAF and throttle plate
· PCV system / Other vacuum leaks
· Improperly seated engine oil dipstick
EGR System:
· Leaking gasket
· Stuck EGR valve / Leaking diaphragm or EVR
Base Engine:
· Oil overfill
· Incorrect cylinder compression
· Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2S
· Secondary air stuck on
