What contributes best to the zetec, meaning if you were to have a stock zetec, what would be the first to be modded?
Thanks, Billy

At this current moment in time CTA is not making anymore intakes until they get more intrest. But yes an Intake is a good place to start. Also if its a ATX a cooler for the ATX is very very helpful.

Ok so this is sort of a dorky question, but does getting a higher flow intake affect gas mileage?
I'm not really into performance, because mods are usually expensive and my car has a long way to go before it's fast,
But if I an intake would help, and not affect gas mileage much than I'd probably do it.

I would have to agree with intake for the MTX and a cooler for the ATX.
As for the intake; The CTA intake, while a nice kit, is not optimal. And it is fairly pricey. Search around and you'll find some alternatives. My contribution can be searched for under "proper intake setup". And other people have come up with their own or used ones meant for the Focus.
An intake wshould not hurt gas mileage, because you are removing the restictive sound control tubing, so it is easier for the engine to breathe.

1995 2.0L As I made my mods, strange thing, better mileage! Now I get 4 Cdn MPG more than stock. OPINION: As long as you do not have to change your Ijectors(due to Mods), you should see an increase in fuel efficeincy. Intake, exhaust, UDP,Aluminum flywheels all help to improve what is already there. Also there is no ONE thing that will make a BIG difference(excluding FI & NO2).

As far as gas mileage.....I can still get 350-400 miles on a tank highway. With my normal driving I average about 300 to a tank.
