OK, so Mikey had a two day meet with these guys right? 9th and 10th? I wonder what happened on day 2 that has kept him from posting an update.

They must have taken Mikey hostage.... or they gave him a set of free headlights and he's still recovering.

Thanks! Originally posted by hetfield: Originally posted by RTStabler51: Mikey, I haven't seen anything about these being 'DOT certified'? Are they going to do that? Or are they going to be labeled "For Off Road Use Only" etc.?
Just curious.

Is there anything amazing, people should know about Morette? i.e. what they're made of etc.
People should know that to make a kit to our standard takes around 650 working hours (3months) in design and development, and all our kits are TUV approved (German standard, recognised by every country in Europe) and also shortly they will be DOT (standard for the USA) which explains the price (you get what you pay for).

A) None of those CF products will last very long if they are removed/installed repeatedly.
B) They are not quick swap items and will require major fine tuning. All require fabrication and hood latch adjustment.
Your desires are well noted, but completely unrealistic.
incorrect, the headlights would be the only thing needing fabrication each time you change them out, hoods are verry simple.

Keep in mind that the fasteners for the hood are molded in and repeatedly changing the hood will eventually cause them to loosen and/or break out. The trunk fasteners are probably the same. They're just not something to be constantly screwing with.

Hey, if he wants to buy all these things and do this, let him. He obviously has the time and money to do so.. and eat the problems that may arise. Hell, if anything, atleast he's throwing money into our economy.

Uh, no. You are incorrect.
If you read my post regarding this, you would realize that different latch adjustments are needed for each type of hood - spacers, dremeling, latch height adjustments, etc.
Have you ever had a CF hood on your car? Have you ever installed one? Have you seen how the hood mounts on the hinges?
