How is sweep area calculated?

Is it just the area of the pad in sq. in.?

Close it's the pad area in mm^2

Kinda self-explanatory - the area swept by the pad

Now calculating that area will be fun considering the shape of the pad, but you could apprximate it to a portion of a disc.

You need to find the overall radius of the rotor and the radius of the inner edge of the working surface, which is the shiny part the pad actually touches to find the effective radius. X it by 2 for both sides.
