I have 98.8k miles on the tour, and im still on the stock front pads and rotors. I have replaced the rear pads ounce. The front pads just dont seem to wear down. Its crazy. can anyone beat me? Im not realy hard on my brakes. I dont tailgate, so i never realy have to smash on the brakes, but i do use them and its not like all my driving is done on the highway either, so whats the deal!!!
I know this topic has been brought up before, but i dont think i read anywear that someone got 100k on stock pads, and at this rate ill get at least that much out of them.

My last 98.5 T-Red CSVT

VERY FIRST brake job was done at 101,320 miles. This was all done on the original factory rotors and pads. Granted when it was done, the pads were pretty thin. ABout 90% of those miles was all LONG highway trips. So... I beat you!

I changed mine at 150,000 miles for the first time, and they still had room to go a while longer (they still had 4mm remaining). I changed them because I was replacing the worn out and warped rotors anyway.

The bigger brakes, especially with a manual trans, do last longer. I went 120,000 miles on the Mercury Tracer LTS that was replaced by the Contour.

At 75,000 mi. I still have more than half the pad. The car is not my daily driver (have a PU truck I use for my business), and over 80% of those miles are interstate driving. I'll likely get around 125,000 before replacement.

Too bad the stock pads make a huge amount of dust.

I went 103k-ish on the front pads/rotors; at that point, the pass. side was metal on metal...

Unfortunately, the brakes seem to be one of the few components that have enjoyed longevity...

Ironic, my stock rears dusted far less than my "low dust" aftermarket replacements...

Stock pads...

You mean the under braking dangerously fading pieces of excrement.

The question should be why would someone keep them long at all.

when i replaced all four corners (driver side back rear pad dislodged itself from the backing plate. figured i would replace all four corners.) i had 55K. the driver side rear was fu(ked (pad removed from backing plate, scraping sounded horrible!!!!), but the others had tons of pad left when i replaced them. i figured it was time, and good security to do so. i figure i had another 20-30K left on those rotors/pads probably, but for the stazi price i figured i would just replace everything and call it a day
