Have you guys seen any of the pics and info GM just released about the new 2003 CTS. Below is an excerpt from the article. Looks quite promising...

The CTS is to be built on a new “Sigma” rear-drive platform shared with other GM divisions and with other Cadillacs, including the Seville replacement due in 2004 and the Luxury Activity Vehicle crossover coming around the same time.

Under the hood is a 3.2-liter V-6 of 220 horsepower that's said to push the CTS to 60 mph in less than seven seconds. The V-6 is a “completely re-engineered” version of the 3.0-liter V-6 now used in the Catera, an unusual 54-degree V-6 with 220 hp and 218 lb-ft of torque, harnessed to either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission, the same unit used in BMW's X5 and 5-Series cars. No other engine is mentioned in the early press materials, and the lack of a V-8 would seem a problematic omission, especially if Cadillac is hunting German sedans.
