Hey anybody on the NW here have a Streetflight turbo kit for their tour? I am thinking of going the forced induction route(keeping the tour). So i was wondering if anybody new why the streetflight site is down? Please some input would be helpful! Hey Shotwell, your buddy that has that shop, he know how to install turbos?

Its no longer Streetflight, try Arizona Dyno Chip. I think its awesome your keeping it and going the turbo route. From what Ive heard the ADC kit is very top notch. Keep us updated on which way you go.

Hey! Glad you're keeping your car. I think the Turbo idea is cool. My friend doesn't work at that shop anymore, but he does still do work on the side. I'd have to talk to him about it. He's certainly capable. He still does work for PDXSVT from time to time. Let me know a timeframe and I'll talk to him.

PDXSVT might know some people as well. I know he just had headers put in.

Thanks, i will let you know shotwell.

After looking at the Arizona turbo kit, it seems to be very good quality. But i was wondering if the T28 set up is perfect for our cars or the T3-T4 turbo is pushing it for our cars? Also i noticed the dyno which was very impressive but was this on a regular stock contour? Because i noticed the stock dyno max hp was 126hp? Was this a non SVT?

About your SF/ADC/126 HP questions, I don't know the answers.

But about your more important questions on using this turbo or that turbo, T28 vs T3/4, etc., why not also ask those Qs in the Forced Induction forum?

So lemme guess, Lucky... if you figure you can already get your turbo Mitsu Eclipse running 14.7 to 14.9 1320' ETs, are you starting to research whether you could turbo a 2.5 CSVT to run faster than that, and weighing the potential of one vs the other?

I can't guarrantee I know a shop in Portland that WOULD install a turbo into a CSVT for you, BUT I could mention a place that (though inexperienced with putting a turbo into a CSVT) would MAYBE still be enthusiastic and inclined to give it their best shot. If you'd then be putting out power like a WRX-STi or an Evo MR, they should be eager with curiosity.

(OK, who wouldn't? 300+ hp brings that out of some enthusiast gear head wrench turners.)

THanks PDXST, ok,ok,ok.
No, i love the GST and know it has a lot of potential, i just really enjoy the contour for its handling and power. Also it is sort of a rare car? I just like the contour and would like to see the faces of people going "what is that thing?" going 100+ by them. It seems as though the 4G63 motors are all but too common. Something different and that not too many people have or know about would be cool.
Ah.....the research begins...

Turbo!!! Yay! Yeah, check around the Forced Induction forum, 'cause I've seen several discussions there about what turbo, or what compressor/impeller combinations would work best. Turbo 101 and Turbo 201 are good articles on turbo basics. They give a pretty good overview on operation, sizing and other aspects of turbo selection. Here is another good article on turbos. And here's shorter article that has some links in it as well. Some of the above are fairly technical, but it never hurts to at least be familiar with what goes on in sizing a turbo for a particular application, even if you buy a kit. Good luck! Woohoo!
