Hey all, just got mine in the mail yesterday. Am I the only one that got the shift knob? The box was all tore up, and the plastic was tore, but everthing was there including the knob. Install was easy, and the throw is fantastically short. Love it!

You ordered from the same place as everyone else? If you did, thats messed up. Lucky you.

Yeah, I ordered from the guy on ebay. I did end up paying the $6.95 shipping even though it said free shipping. Maybe that's why I got the knob?? Oh well, lucky me I guess!

I have the same pearl finish voodoo, with the extra weight it helps even more for shifting.

Weight for shifting??? This coming from a man that can probably bend the shifter with his pinkie...

Anyhow, you guys were right. I emailed the guy and he apologized and gave me the tracking #s. Seconds later, the FedEx truck came to my Dealership... Hahaha, freaky!

Gonna install it this weekend.

it doesnt take much to bend a B&M...
i bent my first one, but they sent me a replacement that was beefier.

my shift knob has some significant weight to it..it is stainless and weighs just over 13 ounces.
it used to weigh about 17oz untill i lightened it a little.

Installed mine yesterday. I left out the reverse lockout sleeve cause I think it's gay plus the sleeve looks like something that belongs in a Nascar, not a classy SVT. Either way, the new look with my MOMO Sphere leather and feel of the short shifts is nothing short of amazing . Just have to learn how to drive all over again .

You are right about the reverse lock-out... but this weekend I was GLAD mine had it as a quick downshift into 4th on my way to SZ would have most defently been a downshift into reverse if it wasn't for the lockout. I'd think about putting it back in unless you are 110% confindent you won't do the inevitable.

4...R

How can you mess that up?? 4th is straight down, its not like its complicated. Have you never driven a car without reverse lockout, becuase like 99% of cars don't have it...

downshift.. not upshift.. meaning, from 5th gear to 4th gear. 5th gear is above reverse my friend. Cars with out reverse lockout are diffrent as you have to push the shifter over more to shift in reverse. 5th into reverse is easy to screw up... jsu tgoing off of Durate's comment about "learning how to drive" again.
