And yes, as Goonz said, only the Steeda shifter requires a plate. Not B&M.
Steeda is a true short shifter while B&M just reduces shifter throwback. But that doesn't necessarily mean the Steeda is better than the B&M. Many prefer B&M over Steeda and vice versa.
And after about a year of use the "silver" starts to scratch up really bad, its starting to look bad now.

GREATTTT!!! I just got an email from a guy named Graham Slaughter saying that, "The shifters do not come with the knob!" Isn't that just great, that's probably why they are 20 bucks cheaper!

Not if they are being sold separately to increase profit...
Sure they come with it from B&M, but things can always be removed from the box. No one will know 100%, until someone gets their's in hand, from the mailman/delivery guy.
