I know I read along time ago that someone went to Canadian tire to have there injectors cleaned. Can I trust them to do this? or Does someone have a better place locally that can do the job.
I know I'm not the only one looking to get this done.
Thanks.

I would like to have this done ouside of the engine. By that I mean that I want to remove them and have them cleaned. Is this possible?

As long as your local Canadian Tire uses a Motorvac by SnapOn, it should be fine to clean your injectors very well. From the information that I've read, the Motorvac is one of the best cleaners around. I've seen Kleen Flow and TerraClean and they aren't nearly has good because of the cleaners used and the process.
Unless the injectors are really dirty, there shouldn't be any reasons to have them cleaned outside the engine. I remember the Volvo guys had a method to properly clean the injectors outside the engine yourself. (it implied putting power to the injector and using a resistor/lightbulb) I know it was fairly commonly used method. But keep in mind these are cars that have 15-20 years and at least 300,000Kms.
If you guys where in Montreal, I'd have a good mechanic to recommend.
Hope it helps...

Thanks for the heads up, I will call them later and find out what machine they use.
UPDATE:
Just called my local CT and they now use the TerraClean machine........
$120 + taxes and about 1 hour.

I'd pass on the TerraClean system. The MotorVac system is MUCH better for around the same price (I paid 110$ in Montreal).
I tried the Terraclean (after I had conveinced the guys at another garage that they could do it on a Volvo.) I cleaned the injectors afterwards out of the engine, they weren't very clean.
BTW: when I got my latest Mystique (I'm at my third), I had it go through a Motorvac after doing a full tuneup (with Autolite plugs), I gained an extra 100Kms per tank with the Motovac. And this was in the winter time.
I'll try to find the link to the injector cleaning on the Brickboard (the CEG for Volvo guys)

Thanks for your input, I have booked my cleaning for Thursday at 6:30pm.
Where?
Active Green and Ross does Motorvac cleaning and for $99.95 + tax.
So now I get the best cleaning and for $20.00 less money.
Thanks therouer.
BTW
Master Mechanic uses TerraClean and $130.00 + Tax.
CT TerraClean $120 + tax.

hmmm.... maybe I should look into this, as my mileage has gone down about 50 to 100kms in the past year.

I can't wait to see if this helps I got 220km 70% city 30% Hwy on this last tank. That's about normal for my Tour. Maybe, just maybe, my tail pipes won't be black after 1 week of driving.
