Talk about fun changing out a waterpump....
Hightower and I went into the engine bay to change the waterpump...(okay, in all reality, I watched and learned while he did all the work)
ANyway, I purchased a new one, he pulled the old one, he looked at it and realized, I have a white impellar, the good one...It's no wonder the water pump has lasted me 86000 miles....
Well, at least I now know how to change a waterpump...
Thanks CHRIS!!

WE had it done pretty quick (I mean, he had it done pretty quick). It just didn't need it. So, we put the original back on and returned the new one...
So all those who say they need a waterpump? EH!!

I wouldnt go as far as waying the white impellars are the good ones. When I took mine apart the shaft tore away from the impellars and was just spinning there..

This can happen on the metal ones, as well, though..
That proplem is a very rare occurance, and though it did happen to you, the common problem of impellar death is 99x more prevalent on the black impellars..

That's what Chris said too, basically.
I kept the white one. I just reminded my MOM who drives the car to keep one eye on that temperature gage, and if it spikes, TURN IT OFF!!
