And give us some feedback on how you like those tires too. I'll assume you get no rub with your rear fenders, right?

Thanks for the compliments!

The tires are great so far! No rubbing, but it looks like they'd be close to the seam on the rear fender if I was riding the bump-stops or something. They seem to ride fairly smoothly for such a low-profile tire. It seems like they are at least as smooth as the 205/55-16s I had on before. I don't know if that is because the wheels weigh less and they are able to more accurately track the road surface or what, but they seem pretty good at soaking up bumps and small potholes (that I didn't manage to dodge). They don't seem to follow ruts in the road very much, and the whole car is just solid and stable at highway speeds.

I haven't gotten too wild with them yet, but they do seem to stick really well. I played around a little on the wet roads on the way home this morning to see how they handled water. I tried breaking them loose with some power around some twisties, and they just stuck -- even with wet (not raining) roads! I think they stick better than the ES100s I was running prior to these. I'm pretty sure the ES100s would have at least gotten a little loose under the same conditions. I don't know if it's my imagination, but the acceleration might be a teensy bit better as well. I can't verify that, though. But yeah, I'm likin' them so far!

I did manage to scare myself going into a parking lot today. I apparently cut the corner a little sharp (going slowly) and *WHAM!* hit the edge of the driveway apron with the RF tire. It did NOT feel good. Quite a sharp feeling, not just a "thud" kinda thing. I wasn't looking forward to seeing the rim, but apparently nothing is the worse for it. I looked and felt around the lip several times and couldn't detect any deformation. Thank you, God! So yeah, I guess I'll have to be even MORE careful about stuff now -- and I already WAS being more careful!

Oh, and ya just gotta love the tire shop -- I checked the pressures today, and they were between ~33-42 or something. Now THAT'S pride in your work... And I took the tires/wheels home and installed them myself, so it's not like they were trying to do different pressures for front and rear.

Where your old tires worn out? IF so that might be why you don't seam to notice the potholes as much. As far as accelertion it could be that the wheels are lighter, or that more of the weight is concentrated at the center (not likely), or it could be because you have less tire flex so your going forward rather then flexing the tire first.

Nope, the tires I took off only had around 6000 mi on them, so they still had a bunch of tread on them. But that is a good point, as I've noticed the difference in ride quality going from bald to new tires.

Yes, these wheels are lighter by about 4 lbs apiece (~16.2 vs. 20.5), so in theory they should "spin-up" faster. I'm just not sure if what I'm thinking I feel is real, or just me thinking it's accelerating faster because it "should" with lighter wheels.
