AC compressor died and needs to be replaced.
The Motorcraft part number is YC-2462
Is anyone aware of which other car this compressor is used on, other than the obvious Ford Lincoln Mercury cars listed on www.motorcraft.com ?
Ford prices are totally ridiculous where I live, and the Mazda equivalent parts tend to be cheaper.
Any help would be appreciated.

check ebay...found lots of ac compressors on there, run 100 bucks i think, sometimes even cheaper. Why not check the salvage yards, that would be an even cheaper solution, and it could go with a warranty depending where you go.

Unfortunately, contours are so few here that it wont be found in salvage.
And I prefer to spend the $300 + shipping at Autozone for a new compressor than $100 at the salvage.
