I received my alternator today. Looks real good. I did not do the powder coating, just plain paint. They even cleaned up the pulley for me.It was a rusty black. Not to mention the case had usual wear and tear. Every thing looks real good, though it will not get its workout for a couple of months. Just to give you guys an idea of turn around, they received my alt. on Monday, and well here it is Friday.....
I'm impressed.

Same here. Did the Paypal on Saturday and got the alternator Thursday. Great service. Thanks.

OK, my alternator is installed now. When the car is first started, a voltmeter jumps around. When the car slows down to an idle, it registers around 14 volts. Is the erratic jumping when starting and until idle normal? Other than that, it's fine.

Are you insane???? Seriously though, are you insane???
Jeez, I can barely see it. I took it to the auto repair shop where my son works and he did it for me. I wouldn't even think about doing it myself.
