ive asked this question before and i was wondering how can you tell if you have a pre or post 98....the manufacture sticker on the door says build date in 97.....i have the "contour" sail panels...and i dont know if thats what tells me its a post 98.

Well it's either Pre-98 or Post-97. A Post-97 is what you have.
95-97 = Pre-98
98-00 = Post-97

I'm not sure how to describe, but bigger headlights are a huge indicator. Large oval grill, SE, LX, or 16V badging on fenders. A rear reflector if your trunklid wasnt swapped. I'm not sure on the other telltale options. Someone else wanna chime in?

And oh yeah, to add to what I said:
If your build date says 97 then I'm almost positive you have a 98 and not a 98.5 as it states in your sig.
(Someone correct me if I am wrong)

Then yours was most likely built in late 1997 and is a 1998 model, not a 1998.5
