I just read in USAToday that Tom Brady went to the same HS (Junipero Serra, in San Mateo, CA) as Barry Bonds, Lynn Swann, and Gregg Jefferies. Damn.
Did anyone famous go to your high school?
I went to two high schools. The firsy, New Albany, IN, claims golfer Fuzzy Zoeller. The second one, nobody.

I played catcher in H.S. and my buddy who pitched got signed to the Expos "now the nationals" right out of H.S. I used to wear some sort of a protective padding and a batters glove under my mit when I had to catch for him. He was throwing about 93-94 at the time.

its kinda funny cuz I went to a big high school in the valley, home of the movie/television industry, and my high school, Chatsworth High has only one big star to boast of, Val Kilmer. probably a dozen famous porno stars too..   oh yeah, went to school with the owner of Darkside Motoring who was on Rides recently. I did a brief stint at Granada Hills High School where John Elway played football. In fact, his coach was still there and was my health teacher. they renamed the football field after him. I went to Los Angeles Baptist for junior high, 7th at least, where Allyson Felix went. She was a friend/classmate of my cousin who just graduated with her. She won some women's world track record, unofficially, and went to win silver in the Olympics. she's going to be HUGE, in that community anway. she is an honor's student with straight A's even though she missed much of the semester to travel the world to compete. she was very humble and nice. yeah, i went to a few school..  i knew a few people who were in tv shows, commercials, movies but they werent "stars". a few went on to play pro sports but i havent seen their names in the papers yet... my mom teaches at Kennedy High School which, to my knowledge, only claims Cuba Gooding Jr.. I know a LOT of famous people went to Hollywood High school, obviously, and Fairfax high school (also in Hollywood).

Also some person that has something to do with the history of the makeup company Maybeline was a graduate of my high school.
I'm trying to find details to back this info up, but our teachers would always tell us about those people.

Yes Dan Castellaneta(aka Homer Simpson) and Ernest Hemingway went to my High School, OPRF. Hemingway was quoted as saying that Oak Park(the town the HS is in) is filled with "wide lawns and narrow minds", and how true it is.

I dont kno which of the south park creators it is... but one of them has relatives here in midland. A couple years back they were at our "center for the arts" checking out the exhibits for thanksgiving.

Eureka High... Eureka, California... I was in the class of '88 The most famous person I know from there was Mike Patton, the singer from the band 'Faith No More' during the early '90s. He graduated in '86 IIRC. His other band since high school, 'Mr. Bungle', were mostly Eureka High students too... they all went to Humboldt State U. together (just a few miles north of Eureka). State College Area High School baby!! Larry Johnson, all time rushing leader at psu and current chiefs running back graduated from my school. He still comes back and talks to the football team once or twice a season.

Hootie and his Blowfish graduated from my high school. My NSL teacher would tell us stories about how he used to tell them that they needed to pay attention in class because they would never get anywhere in the music industry.  By the way, I went to Seneca Valley HS in Germantown MD.

Ted/Tina Turner owners of TNT and a million other things.
They had/have a ranch on the Galatin River Out side of Bozeman MT, (near FourCorners, catch name lol). My uncled lived acrossed the street from him. He owned a lot of land and let people go hunting on his land. He bought elk, deer, and moose for himself to hunt every year. It was a lotta fun.

I went to Wylie E. Groves High School in Birmingham, MI. The only "real" famous people that went to Groves were Sam Raimi (Director of the Evil Dead and Spiderman Movies), his brother Ted, and Bruce Cambell (Starred in the Evil Dead movies).
There was a girl in the same grade as me who acted in at least two Hollywood movies. I'm pretty sure she was in the movie Last Rites starring Tom Berenger. The role was more than just a "walk-on" but I don't remember her name nor do I see it listed at the International Movie Data Base (IMDB). Can't remember the name of the second movie either. My high school yearbook was either stolen or lost several years ago so that's not available either to help identify her.
There have been a couple students who went on to become TV News Broadcasters (i.e., reading the news to the camera) such as:
Catherine Leahan originally on one of the Detroit TV stations. I think she is now doing the same thing in the Baltimore area.
There is a Lila Lazarus who is doing some news broadcasting on Channel 4 in Detroit.
Claire Chan is a violinist in a group called the Jade String Trio that tours regularly.
Tony Grey was head of Microsoft's Internet Explorer development group at one time.
Sarah Wheeler was a music artist. I've seen some of her recordings but she never made it big in the USA. She apparently was very popular in Japan.
There are some other Groves students who are musicians who are hired as session players to record Hollywood movie soundtracks (don't know their names).
Kari Bazzy posed for the September, 1984 Playboy issue "Girls of the Big 10".
I guess one could say that a Groves High School Letter Jacket might be considered famous. There is a scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off where some students at his high school are talking to him on the pay phone (scene where Ferris is simulating coughs on his keyboard). One of the students is wearing a Groves High School Letter Jacket. What is odd about this is that the scene was filmed at a Chicago School. I don't recognize any names in the movie credits and none of my friends know how the jacket ended up in the movie. It is possible that a Groves student unknown to me got a brief walk-on role and was allowed to wear the jacket. I graduated in 1982 and the Ferris Bueller movie was released in 1986 which means it was probably filmed in 1984-1985 so if a Groves student did get a walk-on, I should have heard about it very soon after the movie came out.

Yeah, thats the movie. And you're right, it wasn't Cherlize Theron, it was Eileen (isn't that right, not Diane?) Wournos. Either way, she went to Troy High, but technically a different school. She would've graduated in the late 70's and they built a new school (the one I went to) on mid 90's

A girl I graduated with was fired from a movie Paris Hilton was starring in when she started getting more attention than Paris. She came to my high school when I was in 10th grade. She was so hott at the time, all 3000 people in the school knew who she was before her first day...it was pretty nuts.
