So is everyone staying at the comfort suits? What do their rates look like?

Ill post info later when we have arrangements for the group discount with comfort suites. We called around to a few places, and they seemed to be the cheapest. Ill post info later about it.

Isn't that supposed to be eating at the Y? Besides, do you think Jim's dog really likes you that much? I know it's the closest thing he's got to a sheep Stazi, but really, can't you put that on hold for 1 weekend?!

Well, it seems that now Comfort Inn Suites now has a wedding going on Friday, so pretty much all of the rooms are booked and the banquet hall will be occupied.

Theres a Hampton Inn right right down the street, so im going to give them a call. Btw, they have free beer mon-fri.

No need Jim.. Called a few hotels in Fort Wayne.. I'm no Hotel Guru, so I'll let you guys tell me which hotel chains are more reputable..

Hampton Inn - Wants $99.00 per room after group rate discount. 1 King size bed or 2 Doubles. They only have a banquet room large enough for 25.

Best Western - Wants $59.00 per room after group rate discount. 1 King size bed or 2 Doubles. They have a banquet room large enough for 50.

Amerisuites - Wants $79.00 per room after group rate discount, but all rooms are suites, w/ frig, microwave, etc. 1 King size bed or 2 Doubles. They have a banquet room large enough for 80.

Holiday Inn - Wants $79.00 per room, or $99.00 for a suite. They are not located in the same area as the first 3, and have a banquet room large enough for 50.

There are some others such as Hilton(can't be cheap), Quality hotel(???), and Extended Stay America(???).

I'll keep making phone calls unless people can make some sort of agreement on what they're looking for and looking to spend.

What about Don Hall's, I think their roomrates are suppose to be reasonable...and I'm sure they have a decent sized banquet hall.

I'd say Amerisuites looks like the best bet. Also, you can usually haggle with them on price if you are blocking out a certain number of rooms $79 sounds pretty close to their standard AAA, business, or other "small discount" rate. Best Western has the best cost, but we should have more than 50 at the banquet.
