I did a search but did not see the answer. What tire has everyone been putting on the Focus SVT Wheel. Both 215-46-17 and 225-45-17 are close in diameter to the original 205-55-16 that came with the SVT. Is there any issues with either size? Both are going to have a smaller side wall than the stock size. What if I go to lower springs later on? I put snows on my original E0 wheels and thought this would be a good time to upgrade to 17' wheels.

215/45/17. They are the same size as the tires on the SVT Focus.

so if one were to replace the factory svt wheels (215/45/17) with the factory e0 wheels (205/55/16), the tire diameter would be the same and the speedometer right on?

nevermind, found the link to tire size calculator. Thanks.

link is http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

It's off maybe a percent, so no noticeable speedo differences, .6 IIRC.

I went with 215/45 Falkens and wish I had gone for the 225s but I think the width really depends on the tire.
