Buy an FM modulator from Sharper Image or Radio Shack.

^^ edited for consistency. Zen Micros and iPod Minis are roughly the same price; iPods run another $50+ (although you get far more for your money).

That aside ... do you have an aftermarket head unit? It may have an audio input in the rear that makes it easy to connect without messing around with FM signals (and usurping more battery life of whatever MP3 device you plan to use). My Alpine needed a $20 cable adapter because their input is not standardized but oftentimes others are simple plug-ins with RCA or minijack cables from, say, Radio Shack.

no offence but I think the ipod mini sucks compared to this thing, for the same price I get 1 extra gig, fm radio, outlook sync, voice recorder, and not to mention not having to deal with bull s*it itunes,

Isnt there just a cable I can hook up to the back of my car receiver?

You seem to have harped on the first half of my post and disregarded the second.

Again ... Do you have an aftermarket head unit?

Not on a stock radio, on an aftermarket - maybe. That's why I said FM Modulator.

And for the record. The ones I've seen use the cigarette lighter to pull juice to boost the signal, not the MP3's battery.

An FM modulator for a digital source.

Is that not completely bassackwards...

Sure it will work but what's the point when signal loss and quality drops so much! I know it's just car audio and the listening environment is already poor at best but still.

well he said he was using a fm transmiter, so that was I compared it to. With my ipod mini i do have the Itrip, and its the best thing I could get at the time. But im looking into getting the alpine HU with the ipod connectinon so I can control the ipod from the HU. I know alot of other companies might have more features, but I love the way the ipod connects to my computer, and the interface.
