My brother had to fight for so many things for his mustang. He said to argue with the management and they will agree to do it.

He said it's worked every time. Make sure you go in with Alldata and something from a mechnic to prove it.

A CEL wouldn't hurt either!

I'm going to go and piss all over my local ford dealership until they fix it!

I KNEW my cats were bad before I took it into the dealership. How did I know? The exhaust rattled, so I dropped the ypipe and chunks of the catalyst came out. So I bagged it up. Once I took it the dealership (I didn't show them the stuff) they said the cats were 'fine'. I asked, how can they be fine if I have chunks of them in a baggie? So, I took the chunks in and after about 15 minutes, they agreed to replace the cats. 500 miles later the motor went south due to it being 2 1/2 qts low on oil due to the dealer...yes I should have checked the oil level.

thats allways a good way to catch them lieing, or going to like a muffler shop and having them check the cats and since they will need to order it from ford wont fix it that day u can then go to ford and see what they try and pull

My '99 acted the same way....the CEL would come on for a few days, then go off for a few more days, then back on again. Finally, it would stay on continuously. I think the reason the light went on and off was that the cat performance was marginal...under some circumstances the cats worked well enough to satisfy the computer, and other times, performance was just above the 'alarm' point.

My CEL has been on due to both precats being bad for the last 60,000 miles, and it will probably stay on until my car hits the junkyard.

lmao I wish there were a Capital One commerical where the local Stealership uses their plastic to order all their parts (While angry customers charge from everywhere, Cobras burning out in the parkinglot). And when they go to swipe the card, it cuts it in half; they look up and see it's me, I smile, as we take back all the money they've owned us on.

I have yet to venture to my stealership. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
