The hoods are in Cali. I maybe able to save on shipping if a group of ya in the same area would all like a hood. As far as whats wrong. Pretty much all defects are beneith the clearcoat. There little twists in the fabric. Its perfect if you planned on painting. But may still look just fine if you don't. Carbon fiber tires, why didn't I think of that

yeah the factory blemished cf hoods he is speaking of arent bad at all. i recived my cowl cf hood yesterday and its sooooooooo nice. the blemishes arent noticable at all, a few white specs under the clearcoat the size of a pencil tip and a small swirl in the cf, all in all i couldnt ask for more for the price.....and the new products i bet are cf door panels and a cf trunk lid...who wants to bet, hehehe lets hope for the trunk lid, thats would be hott i would jump on it.......

Tried the dash overlay. Its a no go. Our top layer material is not ideal and will not hold. Hence the reason I have one for sale

i will try to take some tonight at my car meet but it may be too dark, if so i will take some tomorow when i get up with my camera phone. it really is a great hood, but like they sudgest USE HOODPINS i was driving like maybe 40 mph and it was shaking, the pins were like $8.00 at autozone and took maybe 45 mins to install where your bump stops go only cause adjustment to correct height took a while...and deffinitly use a dremmel, it cut like butter.but now with the pins i hit 80 this morning and no shaking at all. and they were even nice enough to cut out the cowl for me so its functional, in the gb they werent cut out unless you requested it i belive...no washer nozzles anymore but hey who cares i have a cf hood.

if you really wanted to you could install the pissers on the carbon fiber hood. wouldnt take too long, and you basically already know how 2 do it since you drilled for the the hood pins.
P.S. definatly snap off some pics of the hood though..camera phone pics might turn out pretty bad at night, prob the same during the day , but if thats all you can go with snap a few off cuz i'd still like to see the cf cowl hood.

no i dont want to install the washer nozzles, it would only take 10 seconds each to drill a small hole but i wanna keep it clean looking, i didnt even want hoodpins but had to, but next week the other ones will be here they lock with a key and are flush mounted. yeah my camera phone works great and the pics are verrrry clear,so i will do that in the morning in the daylight for ya...

hey thanks for hosting those for me, and i fixed the problem alot of people had with that hood. the main complaint was that the front where it meets the oval and headlights dosent go all the way down and looks opened a small bit. well you need hoodpins anyways and if not and its just for show purposes you need to remove the bump stops under your hood that allows the hood to go down all the way like a oem hood. mine fits on there 99% like my stock one did except for a 1/8 inch more gap on each side, but hey who cares look at the beauty of the hood.

Very nice. I cut my bump stops down to get the hood to sit lower (just enough so that it would latch, lower than stock look though). With the gaps on the sides, you can loosen the bolts holding the fenders on and push them toward the hood a bit to remove some of that gap.

Im planning to get a hood like that as well soon. By the way in my opinion I think those hood pins shouldve been more cenetered as in a bit closer to each others.
