I just put a set on the front of my wife's GTP...to replace the set of Titaniums she managed to burn through in 13 months. I warrantied them, got these back...didn't notice the name change but I noticed the coating was blue instead of the usual black. I can't detect any performance difference over the old ones.

Same thing. It's a marketing ploy to attract more attention to the product.

just curious. how is it a marketing thing? adding II to the end of the name? and the blue coloring? i dont see any commercials for either version. i'd just put marketing money into the originals to get the word out. stazi, are these going to take the place of the originals so u gotta ask for the II for future reference?

I haven't seen the II's at my distributor yet, he still has the non-Titaniums in stock for some cars too. They're also the same thing but without the Titanium break-in layer over the top.

The basic composition of the actual pad material on all three products is the same though.

Obviously the marketting ploy is working on you though as you are whether these are better and if I can get them yet.

when they do show up I'll just switch over to them, and hope the price hasn't gone up to pay for the blue die and extra writing on the box.

The only step-up form the Titaniums, form Bendix, that I have seen, are the CT3 ceramic padsm and they are more expensive. Only catch is that I have not seen them in the E0 size yet - probably due to the fact that the volume on that part number is so low as it was only used for little over a year on one car. The E1 pad on the other hand is used on 95-00 non-SVT's and E1 SVT's as well as every single Cougar out there.

I'm loving my CT3's so far. Still on the brake in period, but I love how they grab at all temps.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
