I'm not sure what happened but i seen a contour the other day coming around a turn and the drivers side tire went side ways and up under the car. It tore up the fender and the door. The car stopped like right now. It was breath taking i'll tell you that.

Lug nuts or lower ball joint.
I still find it odd even with a ball joint failure that the tire completely folded under the car.
There is an axle behind it and it's held on by the strut mount.
True neither of which are strong by themselves but that must have been a high G corner.
Now if you slid it sideways into a curb extremely hard it definitely could happen.

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

The wheel was still connected to alot of stuff. It never came off. It just turned sideways and got jammed under the car.
