dbird_dup1 Veteran CEG\'er D Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 888	i replaced the switch on my 96 contour, V-6... went to dealership and bought it for about $18.00..... they had pleanty of them.. no need to buy the whole setup.... the small ball bearing inside the switch fell down and was causing the switch not to turn... it was locked up...

OP ZER0 CEG\'er Z Joined: May 2003 Posts: 135 Toronto, Ontario	sorry ive been away for a while, but im gonna try a new switch, or maybe take the one out of my dads car (98 SE) ive swapped the resistor pack, both work in my dads car so i can eliminate that. ive tried my fan in his car and can eliminate that too. Thanks for the help so far ill let you know how it all turns out. is it easy to get at the switch? or is it gonna take me a while?

dbird_dup1 Veteran CEG\'er D Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 888	i got a 96 contour and the blower switch went out...the ford dealer had Just the Switch for about $24.00..... after putting in the new switch i took the old one apart and found that there is s ball bearing in side it and it fell out of place and jambbed up the switch where it would not turn freely......it was stuck on High all the time....
