I did a search and found no results, I have a 98 Contour SE V6 5 speed, I tried to put the entire exhaust from an SVT on and the gas tank does not clear proprely the SVT pipe has a slightly different bend then the SE one. Is the extention pipe different from 98 to 2000? or SVT to SE? I had the same SVT exhaust on my 95 and it fit perfect. I am not sure what year this SVT exhaust is from.
Help Please.

I understand that the 98 E0 SVT exhaust is slightly different from the later ones and that it somehow was routed slightly different around the fuel tank. I have heard that the two exhaust systems are interchangable but I have never heard of anyone trying to do so.

All of the cases I've been involved with in installing SVT exhaust on a non SVT have used the late SVT cat back parts. They were a bolt on except for adding a right side exhaust hanger. These have been on 96 thru 99 V6 Contours.

Since I have not tried swaping an E0 SVT exhaust I don't know for sure what you may run into.
