Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums General Troubleshooting Clock lights wired backwards??

I dont know if this is how it is supposed to be, or some genius at Ford wired the clock lights backwards, but the clock is always on, it lights up when the car is running, but if you turn the lights on, the clock is no longer lit up. I figure it should be the other way around, like the spedometer and stuff is. Also if I turn the high beams on, it will light up.

With lights on clock illumination is reduced and controlled by dimmer.
