First let me thank Dave at highrevmotorsports.com for the help on the installation.

Here is a brief list of what had to be done:

Install went according to the instructions but a few things had to "made"

-A plate to block off the EGR (for us 98+ Contours)
-Part of a bracket that the new intake manifold is supported on will need to fabbed
-You will need to get a IAC valve from a Focus.....the Contour IAC connector goes out in a 90 degree angle (which will hit the intake manifold)...the Focus connector goes out straight
- to get the alternator bolts in you will have to raise the engine
-if you have a UDP you will need to find your stock one.....Underdriving the S/C will give lower boost
-you will basically have to eliminate the cruise control....the way TB bolts up to the S/C the bracket sits kind of high....so a Dremel is you friend-----cut the piece of braket where the C/C goes....didn't matter to me....I never use it.
-CTA would probably be a better option for a "bolt on" intake....all I had to do is cut it and reverse it.

Other than that we just followed the instructions.

Nice. Did you hook up the JSRC black box and are you just running stock boost now? How quick does it boost up? What RPM do you get some boost then full boost? How is the ATX holding up? How does it feel shifting now. Do we Cougars have the same amount of firewall to engine clearance you Tours have?

So again, the amount of modding to the JSRC was WAY easier than the Vortech? Keep up the good work and becarefull. They say past 9psi on the JR and H2O injection is manditory.

Well my first intial impressions: I need new plugs......the S/C DOES NOT LIKE double plat plugs.....still don't know what ones to get.

Other than that.....half throttlin the car picks up nice and fast......maxes out at 4 psi....but still can't go full throttle until I get me some plugs.

The whining is insane!

I pm'd him already on the plugs but for the rest of you it's Motorcraft AZFS22C, copper and one step colder. Boost and platinum don't mix, you need copper, even same temp coppers are better than plats. For base boost up to 5psi those plugs are good but for more than that you need at least 2 steps colder and nobody makes them. Only place I know of to get the right heat range in copper is Turbo Tom at focus-power.com and he charges around $50 a set, but he can make them up to 6 steps colder. Basically you want around one step colder for every 40-50hp more.

Yeah I got some......drove 30 miles to get them but oh well.

Awesome job Hector!

So are you using the M45 blower or the SVT M62 blower?

I can't wait to see some dyno numbers.

Where did you get it? How much?
