I am finally going to take the mystique to the track and see what it will do. there is a test and tune session this saturday at mid michigan motorplex for ten bucks all day. I will post my results and see how it stacks up. So far my only mods are svt exhaust w/out resontor and flowmasters and a CAI.

You should go to Milan drag way for under the lights this weekend. I am either going to that or to a car show in chatham, ON, or too Speed ball(cannon ball type run) dunno which one yet??????? http://speedball.94octane.comThere will be some sick a$$ cars attending this event. Might be fun to even just tape it, well also have a little fun doing so.

Heres my times: 17.640@80.1417.561@80.9817.258@78.6617.219@81.69not too bad for the first time out with my auto mystique. on the last run though I neutral dropped it and broke the diff. I left a trail of tranny fluid all the way down the track. Funny thing is I didnt know it untill I got back to my pits and my car was smoking. Then after I went a guy put his 12 second 98 impalla SS into the wall. I think he lost traction on my spilled tranny fluid. It was my best time of the night though even with a broken tanny. It blew a hole right in the back of the case. not good. oh well

Well it's too late to tell you beforehand, but never, EVER drop from neutral. Especially at a track.
I shelled out $1900 for a tranny rebuild a few months ago, and it's no fun at all. The CD4E can't take those kind of kicks more than once or twice.

hey things happen When your drag racing. you have to understand that when you go racing things like that can and will happen. He was very understanding. It could have been anyone. And my car is a duratech, Why are those bad times. I didnt think they were all that bad. It was my first time racing so I was trying some different techniques. I meant oh well about my tranny not that guy loosing control. It was just off the line so it wasnt that bad. he went before I could get back to tell anyone.

Well you can see what a neutral drop can do and it doesn't even really improve your times. I don't think those times are too good. Post your 1/8 mile e.t. and trap so I have something to compare to.
