On the 2.5 the PCV has three connections, the bottom connects to the oil seperator, the middle connection leads to the intake, and the top most hose leads to another unit mounted to the firewall (if I followed it properly, it's dark and the flashlight isn't very bright).

Now for the question. What is the item that the top-most hose connects to? and for what purpose? I'm used to driving older j-body GM's with simple in/out PCV's, so needless to say I am confused as to why the CSVT has three connections.

it appears that everyone else is clueless about the third connection too. Sweet! Gotta love the random mystery parts Ford manages to slip under the hood.
