I was noticing my oil pressure gauge today and noticed it wasn't moving smoothly, it jumping instead of smoothing rotating. It is an electric autometer phantom series gauge. Any ideas?

All i can suggest is check all of your connections because if there's a losse connection somewhere that's probably what's doing it, if thats not it call up autometer.

Call autometer. I had a sender go bad on me and it caused the gauge to read like yours.

Not exactly sure, but the Sender Unit could be bad also.
Check the connections like they said first. If not hit me up, I have an extra one.

The signal wire to mine was grounding out where the wire insulation had melted on the EGR tube. Thing would snap to full pressure and sound like someone tapping on a chalkboard. Check the wire.

I have a question about where to put the oil pressure sender. I've found a place below the TB kind of to the right, there is a hex plug there. Got the plug out but the sender will not fit between the block and a tubing, says motorcraft on it, I have no idea what it is for though. Anyways, all I need to do is get a 45 degree adapter type thing from a hardware store so I can have more room for the sending unit correct? And also, is that the correct placement for the sender? I also have the oil temp sender and I have no idea where that goes. I can see another plug that is below the dipstick, but I don't know how you would get that one out, there is zero room it seems. Thanks if you can help.
