HE should be proud of that car, Personally I think there nice but i dont like how theres no scoops on the door or hoods.
I would of got one but i got an 2003 instead since it was real real cheap... and all i cna say is that ther is no comparison to my 6cyl automatic mustang to a contour its way more fun to drive nicer inside more comfortable quicker tremndious aftermarket.. Its a mustang every one knows what it is peopel still look at it all the time cuz its soprty looking you dont get any of that w/ a tour.

Really that car is awesome. I just don't understand the negativity. All 100,000 or whatever of them will beat the absolute piss out of my SVT, and most everyone else here too, so what's not to brag about?

Do you really think most people are going to notice a relatively subtle bodykit on your car at first glance?
Like it or not, people look at your car and think it's a plain 'ol Contour. That's if they even place it as a Contour -- it's more likely they'll guess Taurus, as they're more common.
If they see an SE and an SVT side-by-side and look for a minute, some, namely the men, might notice the body kit. And of that minority, only an extremely small sample would know that it wasn't something you added on yourself and that there actually was a "Contour SVT" made.

In three years of ownership, I don't think one person ever commented or took a second look at my car. But I did have it called a Taurus on probably 25 occassions.

I even got a ticket from a cop once with the description of the car being "Ford Taurus".
I wondered if it could've been thrown out of court on that premise, but then dismissed the thought as he had my plate on the ticket and that's all that really counts......

I agree if your Contour was a base model and a ATX. The Contour interior is night and day better than Mustangs and I have driven a V6 5spd mustang on numerous occasions and fight it down right piggish.
