Weighed my car (we found a scale that is unattended and always on), 2860lbs fully loaded, 3000lb with me in it. Going to the drag strip next sunday,, not gonna put my old wheels on or anything, just for fun, but it'll give me a general idea of how slow I am.

Going in a straight line in a 4cyl barely modded contour will doubtfully be addicting. I wish there were some auto-x things around here or something, now I bet I would get addicted to that, even if I sucked.

its still fun, i would try my best to line up against neons, cavaliers, escorts, and grand ams, stuff that would be a close race or id win (well the grand am would beat me) then a few times i raced a supercharged mustang 5L, he ran 11.5, i ran 16.3

Yeah it's a blast going to the track, Kremi! All we've got is an 1/8th mile and it's soooo much fun! It sucks to lose, sure, I mean I've seen the back end of more Cobras and Maro SS's than I can count, but it's still a lot of fun. Go with your friends that have the ATX Stangs and whoop 'em!

We're going on a non-fast and furious show day, so there will be more fast cars there than slow imports. I'm gonna call places and hopefully get my cam gears on by then, if not, I'm just going for the heck of it.
