I'm looking for a new watch, and I really like a couple of Momo watches such as the one below.

These little gems are made in Italy and aren't ridiculously expensive. Could get this one for under $250...

Main questions... These aren't pieces of crap, are they? I know I'm not getting a Rolex here, or a Swiss made watch, but I don't want something crappy either.

I don't think it'll be worse than my 4 yr old Seiko, will it?

Any other thoughts?

If you like the way it looks go for it. Might as well get a timex if your worried about keeping good time.

Get a Tag Heuer if you can afford it.

Tag's are nice, very nice. Can I afford it? Probably, but I don't want to spend $800-$1200 on a watch that I will wear daily, and one that will get scratched up as well.

The Momo seems like a perfect blend of decent quality, looks, and it's a watch that nobody has...

I have an ESQ I bought about 4 1/2 years ago. It was originally $249 but I got it on sale for $110. It's like a tank, I never take it off. I Wear it in the ocean, pool, shower, to bed, skiing.... Looks a bit more like a diver's watch than the Momo, and is good down to 200m. Swiss movement, I'd reccomend it if you want something good but can't afford say a Tag or a Omega.

i almost bought a momo watch a few years ago - i think they have some pretty sweet designs. ended up getting a free swiss army watch through the test-drive-a-maxima promo deal, and i never got around to buying the momo.

looks cool to me...but i'm no watch expert. shoot, even my free swiss army watch has scratches on the crystal and in the plastic surround....scared to give more of the same to a watch i actually paid for!

Word! I've got an ESQ 850SL that I've been wearing on and off for 3-4 years now, got it for like $160 online, retails for around $250 in stores.. For those who don't know, ESQ is a division of Movado.

If you're looking for good looks w/o the hefty pricetag, I've got a hookup that can get unbelievably good Rolex fakes, for around $300.. We're talking real quality here (hence the pricetag!), not some junk you'd find on a NYC street corner.
