I figured since people look at my car anyway, I might as well advertise. I got them for 6$ each at a local shop.
and I decided to take a pic of my huge dog too
I think they came out good, I wouldnt mind them being a little shorter, next time I'll get inch high ones instead of 1.5 inch

I had some pre-98's before...on a 95 mystique..I like the shiny ones better, but I'd rather not have the contour on it. I'm thinking of covering them in some carbon fiber vinyl

I didn't.
I just painted mine. Sharp black color, smooth looking finish, very easy to maintain. Best of both worlds...
You don't have the ugly textured bumpy cheap plastic BS of the old sails or the fugly looking fake carbon fiber BS with Contour logo of the new sails.
IMO either of the two stock choices are bad looking! Though if I had to chose I would take the new style over the old just because it's smooth and reflective.

Straight black is probably the best way to go. I tried to get fancy and 'tint' mine; it didn't look nearly as good as it did in my head.

Don't make them shorter, just longer! Hector had some nice ones made up, where the CONTOUR is actually bigger than the WWW and the ORG.

I thought the sail panels were the red reflective pieces on the deck lid>
