Hey, I was wondering, I just got a contour 2000 svt and I went and got some stuff for it. I was wondering about how much hp these mods would give me. I'm going to dyno once everything gets in.

Aem short ram intake.
Polished alluminum intake
Unorthodox racing light flywheel pulley
75mm maf
MSDS Headers
Superchip

I was thinking about that 63mm throttle body and 37mm butterfly that they show on www.shoshop.com

Please tell me if I'm going in the right dirction or not.

I may be wrong, but I think 20whp sounds about right to me. Definately install everything and have the chip dyno tuned so you get the most out of everything and use a heat shield on the intake. My guess would be around 187fwhp.

Yup, it's hard to extract those hidden ponies in our cars. I've spent a lot of $$ and I'm at 179hp. If you've got a strong engine, 187 might even be pushing it.

Here are my thoughts:
Underdriven crank pully = bad. At least, it's thought to be. Look into the Dual Mode Damper (DMD) instead.

Aem short ram and the polished intake? I think the Aem will have the intake tube, if that's what you're refering to.

SHOShop does not make the 63mm TB any longer. The 37mm butterflies are not going to be as usefull unless you open every other secondary port (upper intake manifold as well as the secondary intake ports on the heads). If you don't open everything else up, the larger lower intake manifold will be a "bubble" in your intake path.

Make a chip your last mod.

Hope that helps.

Does the pully do damage?

Do a search on "underdrive pulley" and you'll find plenty of info on both sides of the issue.

Add some yellow ricer stickers, those always add a good 5fwhp a piece, or was it 8hp? Depends on the sticker I guess.

I think you would get a little more than 20.
