While cruising down I90, I noticed that my Integra's glass distorts a bit on the edges. My Contour never had that problem (the glass was optically correct). A trivial thing, but just something I noticed. smile

Consumer Reports also noticed that flaw in the first-generation Hyundai (sp?) Tiburon. Even though they had the glass replaced three times, that "factory defect" remained.

I love the 'tour, and it's going to be very hard to find another vehicle that can replace it. I'll probably end up keeping this thing till it's an antique wink

It also has to do with the quality of windshield. When I had my windshield replaced it was replaced with a non-oem windwhield. It now has some distortion in the corners.

They distort what you see because of the bend in the glass. Mine does it but not to bad!

A coworker of my dad's has a VW Jetta and said he gets headaches from the glass not being optically correct.

For those who aren't knowledgeable about this, optically correct means no distortion. If glass is not optically correct, your eyes are forced to refocus constantly. This causes eye fatigue. Just some FYI. cool
