I hear ya on that one.
I don't mind paying because I know not everything is free. Also I don't expect to win any trophies, so I don't mind if my money goes toward awarding some awesome rides.
But the price has to be reasonable. It's a car show afterall. It's supposed to be fun, not eat at people's wallets when all they want to do is see cool cars.

I think FFW is so expensive just to pay the gas for that chubby judge to ride around in his golf cart...
