YA YA YA I know I have been gone for awhile but... I just replaced my thermo and now my high speed fan will not turn off when the car is running. I will start the car, fan will be off, will warm up and wamo the high speed fan will stay on even in 50º weather like this morning (earlyyyy) Its been like this for a few days now. Also, I got the stock thermo, the engine temp gauge reads on the O of normal, and the A/C is off. Any suggestions?

Pulled fuse 4 and 11 waited a min then went into town (about 15 mins in 80º weather) no high speed fan. Come home, still no high speed fan, car ran at the O in normal again. Pull in the garage, turn on the A/C no high speed fan but the low speed is on. Turned off A/C high speed fan turns on. Shut the car off. Restart the car, high speed fan comes on, turn A/C on high speed still on, turn off A/C still on. Shut the car off. Restart car once again, no high speed fan, turn on A/C again no high speed fan (leave A/C on for 20 sec), turn A/C off still no high speed fan.
Boy am I confused.

My cooling fans operate like this:
Cold engine, no a/c NO cooling fan
Cold engine, a/c on, Low fan speed
Engine Temperature at M on scale a while will trigger Low speed if a/c is off
Temp at M and A/C on may trigger high speed fan
Hot weather, 85 degrees, hot motor and A/C on will cause high fan to cycle alternately with low fan, pressure in a/c varies, high pressure=high fan
Might run on steady high in hot day slow traffic (I have not seen this)
I think your system is OK!
